To prepare for peak oil, I must...
- Live debt free (Done).
- Stock up at least one year of food supply (by end-2007).
- Buy backup solar-power and water-maker (Hyflux Dragon-fly).
My thanks to Simon Tay for the below advice:
"Solar Panels can be purchased in Sim Lim Tower. The solar panels vary in wattages (10W, 20W, 25W, 40W) which the store keeper will ask you… made-in China types (Aluminum Frames) or European type (more expensive but higher efficiency). DC 12V battery - I recommend the biggest (Sealed) battery around $55 which is 28Ah and 12V as it gives you highest power output... If you are under budget, do your solar panels one at a time but don’t waste money on 10W type as it’s too small to charge your battery sufficiently."
